Tere Mere Sapne (1996) is a Hindi-language romantic drama directed by Joy Augustine and produced by Amitabh Bachchan’s ABCL Corporation.  The film follows the story of two men born on the same day—Rahul Mehta (Chandrachur Singh), an affluent young man from England, and Baalu (Arshad Warsi), a struggling cab driver from Mumbai.  When Rahul visits India to reconnect with his roots, he meets Baalu, and they decide to swap lives.  Rahul immerses himself in Baalu’s modest world, falling in love with Baalu’s sister, Paro (Priya Gill), while Baalu, posing as Rahul, navigates the complexities of high society and develops feelings for Pooja (Simran), the daughter of a business associate.  The narrative explores themes of identity, love, and social class, culminating in a series of events that challenge both men’s lives.
