Tejasvini (1994) is a Hindi-language action drama directed by N. Chandra, inspired by the life of police officer Kiran Bedi.  The film stars Vijayashanti in the titular role as Tejasvini Joshi, a determined Assistant Superintendent of Police in Delhi.  Tejasvini confronts powerful criminal-politician Lala Khurana (Amrish Puri), who manipulates the system to protect his son Vicky (Arif Khan), accused of rape.  Despite facing systemic corruption and personal threats, Tejasvini relentlessly pursues justice, embodying courage and integrity.  The film features a strong supporting cast, including Deepak Malhotra, Kulbhushan Kharbanda, and Tinnu Anand.  While the film’s raw and hard-hitting narrative received critical acclaim, it was not a major box office success.
