Ghayal (1990) is a gripping Hindi action-drama directed by Rajkumar Santoshi in his directorial debut.  The film follows the journey of Ajay Mehra (Sunny Deol), a compassionate amateur boxer, who becomes entangled in a web of corruption and injustice.  His brother, Ashok Mehra (Raj Babbar), a businessman, unknowingly becomes a pawn in the hands of the ruthless industrialist Balwant Rai (Amrish Puri).  When Ashok gathers evidence against Balwant’s illicit activities, he is kidnapped and murdered.  Ajay is wrongfully imprisoned and framed for the crime.  Upon release, he embarks on a relentless quest for justice, dismantling Balwant’s empire and confronting the deep-seated corruption within the system.  The film culminates in a dramatic showdown, highlighting themes of vengeance, resilience, and the pursuit of truth.
