Ehsaas: The Feeling (2001) is a Hindi-language drama directed by Mahesh Manjrekar.  The film explores the emotional journey of Ravi Naik (Sunil Shetty), a father who, after the death of his wife, raises his son Rohan (Mayank Tandon) with strict discipline, hoping to mold him into an accomplished athlete.  However, Rohan grows resentful of his father’s rigid approach.  Their neighbor, Antara Pandit (Neha Bajpai), and her mother (Kirron Kher) advise Ravi to adopt a more lenient parenting style.  Despite their counsel, Ravi persists in his methods, believing that Rohan’s success in an upcoming athletic event will validate his approach.  The narrative delves into themes of parental expectations, generational conflict, and the complexities of father-son relationships.
