Dedh Ishqiya (2014) is a Hindi-language black comedy thriller directed by Abhishek Chaubey.  A sequel to the 2010 film Ishqiya, it continues the story of two charming rogues, Khalujaan (Naseeruddin Shah) and his nephew Babban (Arshad Warsi), who find themselves entangled in a web of romance, deceit, and crime.  The duo arrives at a royal palace in Majidabad, where a poetry contest is being held to find a new suitor for the widowed Begum Para (Madhuri Dixit).  Khalujaan, posing as a nawab, competes in the contest, while Babban becomes involved with the Begum’s assistant, Munniya (Huma Qureshi).  As the story unfolds, love, ambition, and betrayal intertwine, leading to a series of unexpected twists.  The film is noted for its witty dialogues, strong performances, and a blend of romance and suspense.
