Aapas Ki Baat (1981) is a Hindi-language romantic drama directed by Harmesh Malhotra. The film revolves around Kajal Sinha (Poonam Dhillon), a young woman from a wealthy family in Delhi, and her love affair with Anand Kumar Srivastav (Raj Babbar), a humble florist.  Despite her family’s disapproval, Kajal marries Anand.  However, Anand is falsely accused of a serious crime and disappears.  Years later, a man resembling Anand returns under the name Ashok Narayan, leading to confusion and a quest to uncover the truth behind his identity.
